Cloth articles require specific storage and care conditions depending on the material of the article.

Compliance with widely accepted rules and standards will help to preserve beautiful look of the garments and extend their lifetime. Below are listed care rules for most widespread fabric types , which are used in manufacturing of modern cloth.

 

Linen

Valuable natural fiber with excellent consumer qualities. Spin cycle shouldn't be used when washing linen clothes. Steam ironing with high temperature recommended.

Cotton

One of most widespread materials out there. Washing temperature up to 30 °C (86 °F). Apply moisture before ironing with maximal temperature.

Rayon

Fabric made mostly from processed cellulose fibers and wood pulp. Requires delicate washing in slightly warm water. Iron on medium temperatures.

Wool

One of most valuable materials of animal origin. Possesses thermal, hygienic and elastic properties. Washing temperature 30 °C (86 °F). Rinse in large quantity of cold water. Avoid bleaching and dry on horizontal surface away from direct heat sources.

Silk

A refined and delicate material that has been in great demand for hundreds of years. When washing silk plain garments at home, use lukewarm water, temperature up to 30 °C (86 °F), soapy water and a special silk conditioner. After washing, such products must be thoroughly rinsed in warm water and wrung out without using excessive force. It is necessary to iron silk products at a low temperature through a damp cloth.

Acetate

Material derived from cellulose. Acetate properties resemble silk. Wash in warm water with neutral detergents. Iron from inside out.

Polyester

Wear-resistant synthetic material. Polyester products do not need delicate washing, but they should be ironed only at low temperatures.

Nylone

Wrinkle-free and wear-resistant synthetic fiber. This one is of the lowest maintenance. Products made from nylone do not need delicate washing. They are usually washed at low temperatures and are not wrung out.

Acrylic

Synthetic fiber added to woolen fabrics. Particularly delicate items made from this fabric must be washed by hand with gentle wringing and drying on a hanger. It is recommended to iron such products at medium-low temperatures.

Denim

Durable fabric used in namesake clothes. In order to avoid fading of products, it is recommended to wash them turned inside out. The appearance of denim is the result of a special dyeing method. As a result, pigment particles can remain on the surface of the fabric and be dyed.

Leather

Material of animal origin. Due to the complexity of material manufacturing and binding, leather goods require professional dry cleaning on special equipment.

Attention should be paid to the labels that are on each item of clothing or textile. These symbols will help you determine under what conditions you should wash, dry, iron and clean that particular item.
